I’ve been receiving accolades for my laid-back parenting style. Last week I was preparing dinner at the sink and Mabel was playing with measuring cups. I turned my back long enough for her to pull down canisters and rip open a 2 lb. bag of coconut. I let her roll around in it and make coconut snow angels. She must have sensed fun-time was coming to an end so she shoveled coconut into her mouth with both hands. I picked her up and sat her in the hallway, where she played with the network cables while I swept the floor.
The childproofer is coming Wednesday.
