Aretha’s Hat

Penned by molly in Shoes, Uncategorized

Women’s Wear Daily got the scoop on the hat Aretha Franklin wore for her performance during the inauguration. She bought it at the Detroit shop of milliner Luke Song, where she is a regular costumer. The hats are sold with the label Mr. Song Millinery in New York, California and the South.

I haven’t been paying much attention to this, but I am getting the vibe that people have been critical of Ms. Franklin’s hat. I have penned myself the hat lady, having just begun my own hat blog, and when I viewed the inauguration from home on Tuesday, I thought her hat was really quite beautiful. No, I am sure I would not wear it myself, but I think it fits Ms. Franklin’s musical image, highlighting her individual flair and taste.

Yeah I saw no problem with the hat, it was interesting and agree with j-eunit. also, i feel super protective over anything obama related right now (post traumatic stress from the last 8 years) and for aretha period.
