This isn’t a shopping blog and I normally don’t post about these things but there is a mad sale going on at Anthropologie. I know, I know — Anthropologie is part of a big corporation owned by the evil guy who owns Urban Outfitters. Fashion is a dirty industry and textile manufacturing is even worse. So what are you gonna do? Pick your battles.
Clothes from Anthropologie get compliments when I wear them, especially the cherry blossom cardigan and my new-ish white sailor pants. With the exception of one delicate blouse (that I wore all over China and Hong Kong, which may be the problem), my clothes from Anthropologie have maintained their quality.
Also? I appreciate being able to search a sale based on sizes. It is so not helpful to see a cute sweater on clearance only to click through to purchase and learn it’s available in XXS and XXL (lots of places do this but LL Bean, I’m talking to you).
And another thing? Anthopologie sells doorknobs! And cookbooks! And really pretty treats like milky green mugs and Audrey Hepburn coffee table books. So go buy yourself a cute dress that you maybe wouldn’t have bought at $248 but for $129 you’ll wear all the time. And get lots of kisses while wearing. Trust me.
