You have such wonderful fashion advice, I was hoping for something a bit off topic. I’m headed to Savannah in early November for an 11am formal wedding (hats encouraged), reception from 12-3p, then dinner 6-11p labelled “formal with flair”. Diligent internet research tells me an 11am formal event means a shorter dress, and I assume that the 3-6pm break is nudging me to change into a longer dress for the evening event. A coupla questions… wtf is ‘formal with flair’– are we talking Office Space ‘flair’ or what? Am I right on the assumption that I need to change dresses, cuz I really really like the knee-length Jessica McClintock red, ribbony dress I picked up at Nordstrom’s last week. I really really really want to wear it through the evening, but I don’t want people looking at me like I’m a hobo. And lastly, I haven’t worn hose in YEARS… but a knee length formal dress… what’s appropriate?
