I like Molly's suggestions above. The only thing I would add is a high quality red sweat suit if you are in a sporty mood.

What do call a guy in red pants? Single.

But seriously, a few red options for men:

Red is often a neutral when it comes to accessories. Consider red (or dark red) leather shoes instead of brown. Red belts are a nice touch. Either leather or canvas webbing.

Simple red jackets or windbreakers are great and very James Dean.

Red ties are great, especially solid red. It doesn't have to be the boring white shirt-red power tie-navy blue suit combo. Red looks good with many shades of pink (trust me), including pale pink dress shirts. Black, blue, green or yellow shirts work well with a solid red tie as well. Another good look is a red shirt with a red tie -- I love the solid-same color combo with shirts and ties, a very modern look. Don't turn it down before you try it on.

Pin a red carnation to your blue or black suit to brighten up boring duds.

Dear mBloom,

What red items would you recommend a man wear. Pants are very Santa. I suppose a solid red shirt would always work. Any red accoutrements you recommend?
