It was a blown-out version of a classic menswear vest, in some sort of subtle cotton Minto tweed, with an abstract white print of some sort screened on the lower front, and it was sort of wrap-y and drape-y, with straps that dangled oddly. I - a wearer of men's vests in the 80's - liked it, looked at the tag and said "Whoo! $268!" And put it back. I loathe sweater vests too. Funny, I tried on a vest today.
